New Bathroom Tile & Style Trends for 2017

Now that things have settled in for the new year and Spring cleaning is upon us, it might be time to consider a bathroom remodel or at least daydream about one. So let’s take a look at the hottest trends in bathroom design for 2017.

Homeowners are starting to transition away from vessel sinks and are now favoring the look of inset sinks. Offering a modern and streamlined look, inset sinks bring a level of elegance and refinement to a bathroom remodel. D&B Tile Distributors partners with Priele, a bathroom vanity manufacturer that produces a variety of beautiful vanity options including inset sinks. Visit a showroom to see a variety of bathroom vanity options as well as beautiful backsplash tiles, such as the American Olean Refluence glass tile in Waterfall pictured below.

Many homeowners are ditching their bathtubs in favor of large, open showers with frameless shower doors. Aside from the fact that frameless shower doors are easier to clean, they offer a modern and sleek update to your bathroom. Matter of fact, D&B Tile partners with Frameless Shower Doors, “the original frameless shower door company,” so you can complete your remodel in a one-stop shop. Pictured below is Crossville Argent Porcelain Stone tile flooring, which you can find in any of our South Florida showrooms.

For the homeowners that just can’t give up their daily soak, freestanding tubs have become the ultimate choice for 2017. With the freestanding tub below, the designer chose a chevron installation pattern of Crossville’s Yin Yang Natural Stone tile, giving this bathroom a bit of Eastern flair. D&B Tile Distributors is the exclusive distributor for Crossville Tile in South Florida, and you can find it at any of our nine tile showrooms.

These days, bathroom flooring trends offer a lot of variety. Designers are doing everything from wood look tile to patterned installations, but large format tile is the most popular. Take a look at the American Olean Mirasol Silver Marble, pictured below, in 24×24 on the floor and 10×14 on the tub and wall. This large format tile flooring has wall tile options that provide a seamless and continuous look.

For 2017, homeowners are taking the opportunity to modernize their cabinetry and are installing floating vanities which give the option for lighting underneath. One of our favorite implementations was from a recent million-dollar condo renovation that used Crossville Generals Grey and Crossville Black Swan 12×24 on the wall with Crossville’s 24×24 Generals Grey on the floor and Bati Orient Grey Glass Opus for the border.
