Laminam and Bluestone at Lynn University
Crossville’s Laminam and Bluestone Featured in Christine’s Coffee House and Cafeteria in Lynn University
Crossville’s latest innovation Laminam has been installed in a high-traffic area at Boca Raton’s Lynn University cafeteria. The university was on the national scene when it hosted one of the presidential debates between President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney. Shown to the right is 645 sq/ft of Laminam Filo Oro L2093 which was installed as a wainscot in the cafeteria joining Buenos Aires Mood previously installed in the food service area.
These porcelain tile panels are produced with an innovative tile technology. By pressing without the traditional die-mold commonly used throughout the industry, then firing with a combination of gas and electric fired kilns at a temperature of approximately 2600 degrees F, this breakthrough process successfully eliminates tension within the tile panel creating a uniformly large flat piece that can be cut or trimmed with precise accuracy. The Laminam 3+ porcelain panels also have a fiberglass mesh permanently adhered to the back for additional strength and flexibility.
The product was introduced to the D&B Tile community in February 2013 and was well received by contractors and installers throughout the region.
Fashion and performance driven, Laminam by Crossville clears the way for modern style and technical innovation. Laminam by Crossville is available in three collections: Foundations, Natural Inspirations and Urban Influence. From the more traditional textures of Foundations to stone and wood influences found in Natural Inspirations, to the beat of the city found in Urban Influence, each series in the collections is available in 1 meter x 3 meters x 3mm. These large panels bring uninterrupted, flawless beauty to space and form. Laminam 3+ is for interior vertical applications only.

Crossville’s product fit my requirements exactly. It was my first time with this product and I would definitely use it again. The floor in the coffee shop needed something rectified with low maintenance and with a good non-slip feature. The Crossville Bluestone was a perfect fit. I’m a big fan of Crossville. D&B Tile is my go-to source for all my tile needs. Your customer service is outstanding.” Visit Cindy’s website at www.cindywilsoninc.com.
