When Layne Tharp decided to remodel their home in Wilton Manors, he recalled the experience he had with a bathroom remodel two years prior and went directly toD&B Tile Pompano Beach location to see what was new and exciting.
"We did all the design ourselves and started going to the store every week bringing in samples of everything. We worked with Andy Bolton. He was very helpful with our selections and his recommendations helped us put it all together.
"This is an 1,800 square foot home. Our major remodel involved about half of the house. We moved the master bath to our kitchen area and our kitchen to where the dining area used to be.
We moved plumbing to handle the new island space in the kitchen. It was a major remodel. We selected the American Olean green tile in the bathroom and backed our way into the pattern tile for a contrast. All the time we made an effort to match everything to the existing tile floor. The backsplash was the most difficult decision. We wanted a combination of brass and stainless steel and the tile tied it all together.
"I wasn't brand conscious until we saw the vignettes in the Pompano store. The countertops in the kitchen and the island as well as the countertops in the master bathroom were installed by Stonewater Kitchens. I think it was called Pompeii. I worked with Laureen at Coldwater Kitchens. We were very pleased with that group. Their work was excellent.
"Friends and neighbors have stopped by and are all impressed. We placed it on Facebook and have had a lot of comments. In fact, we referred a friend to D&B and I believe she has already been there and is working with Andy. All in all it was a great experience working with D&B Tile and I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the market for tile, stone or marble."
