Tile Has Been the Most Earth-Friendly Flooring Finish for Centuries
Tile, natural marble and stone products by their nature contribute to sustainability for the following reasons: long life cycle, high performance characteristics, do not emit volatile organic compounds (VOC) , fire-resis tant, made from natural ingredients, hypoallergenic and allergen free, inhospitable to dust mites. Because re placing flooring uses resources, it is much better for the environment because tiles do not need to be re placed nearly as often as other flooring products. This cuts down on manufacturing, transportation, installa tion and waste materials. While various studies suggests that tiles last fifty years, obviously tiles can last sig nificantly longer.
Maintenance
